Ever wanted to complain about something but can't find any place or any one to listen? Ever had a great idea for College Hill and wanted to share? Looking for another place to list things for sale besides Craigslist, something more local? Have you lost touch with relatives or friends in College HIll and wanted to reconnect or stay in touch?
One aspect of the new College HIll site is about staying connected. Whether you're new to the area or a longtime resident or have moved or will be moving, CollegeHillWichita.com is a great place to go online and catch up. Have something you want to share with the community? Post a new discussion and see what others have to say.
On the community page you can upload photos, post new discussions , polls, announcements such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, start a blog, full Trading Post access for listing items for sale, Garage Sales, Free, Wanted, Jobs, the list goes on.
Now you're probably thinking, 'and for a limited time of only $50.00 per year you can be a member'. Actually, the membership is on us. That's right, it's free to join. One of the three main aspects of CollegeHillWichita.com is the Community Site, which we want to keep free for all members. Signing up for the community membership is easy and can be found on the top link marked community. You'll need to create a unique user name and password. You'll then need to confirm your registration at the email address you supplied.
The second aspect of this site is the College Hill Business Directory, which is still under construction at this time. You'll be able to access listings on the home page with either the main directory link or the category links to narrow things down. Businesses can contact us about adding their listing. We're adding some as time permits and if your listing is already inserted but needs correcting we can make corrections.
A basic listing in the College Hill Business Directory is free. Listings in the directory are limited to the geographic region of College Hill and will be determined on a case by case basis. If you're in the Square between Central, Oliver, Kellogg, and Hillside, you're probably fine.
We'll also have advertising spots on the home page, business directory, and news pages so let us know if you're interested. Right now all advertising is free and will probably remain free for at least six months to a year, depending on site traffic, membership, etc.
The third aspect of this site is the news and events on the home page. We'll be adding content when we can and are looking for talented individuals in the area that can write an article or two, either on a one time basis or regular contributor. Get your name on the by line, in other words. This could either be with news or columns or both. Basically, we'll be providing content but we don't want to be the only ones providing it.
